Florida weather is hard on pavers. Here is what it does.
Pavers do not go bad overnight. Sun, rain and daily use wear them down a little at a time until the driveway you paid for looks tired.
Faded color
Florida sun bleaches pavers over time until they look washed out and uneven.
Sand washing out
Rain and runoff wash the sand from between your pavers. Joints loosen and pavers start to shift.
Weeds in the joints
Open joints are an easy place for weeds and moss to take root.
Oil, rust and tire stains
On unsealed driveways and patios, spills soak into the surface and are hard to get out.
Mold and grime
Moisture and dirt settle into porous pavers, especially around pools and shaded patios.
Old sealer gone bad
A failed coat turns cloudy, white or dull. Sealing over it does not fix it. It has to come off first.
Clean, sand and seal. Or strip and start over.
Most jobs are a clean, re-sand and seal. If an old coat has failed, we take it off first so the new one holds.

Stripping & Resealing

Deep clean
We pressure clean the surface and the joints to lift dirt, mildew and stains.
Re-sand the joints
Fresh joint sand goes back between the pavers to fill the gaps the weather washed out.
Seal
We apply the sealer in the finish you picked: natural, satin or enhanced.

Pick the look you want before we start
Some homeowners want a bold, wet-look color. Others want protection that barely changes the look. You choose, and we will tell you if a finish is not right for the surface.
Natural
Protection with little change to the look of your pavers.
Satin
A soft sheen that deepens the color a little.
Enhanced
The richest, wet-look color. Some surfaces suit it better than others, so we will tell you on site.

Answers before you book
How much does paver sealing cost?
Every job is different, so the only way to give you an accurate price is to see it. We can sometimes give a rough idea over the phone, but the real number comes from a free on-site estimate where we measure the area, check the joint sand and look for old sealer.
Do my pavers need to be cleaned before sealing?
Yes. Sealer has to soak into the pores of the paver, so the surface has to be properly cleaned first to get out ground-in dirt and stains. Cleaning is part of our sealing job.
Why should I seal my pavers?
Sealing helps keep oil, grease, food, drink, leaf and pet stains from soaking in. It can also slow fading, help hold the joint sand in place and make weeds, moss and mildew less likely. Your pavers stay easier to keep clean.
Which service is right for me?
Our Premium Wash and Seal is for newer pavers where the joint sand is still in good shape. Pro Paver Restoration is for older, faded pavers with weeds, moss, uneven or sunken pavers, missing edging or failing joint sand. We will tell you which one fits at the estimate.
How do I choose a finish?
You can pick a natural, satin or enhanced look. It comes down to what you like, but some finishes are not a good fit for some areas. We bring samples to the estimate and help you choose.
My old sealer looks cloudy or white. Can you fix it?
Yes. A failed coat has to be stripped off first. Sealing over it only traps the problem. We remove the old sealer, clean the surface, re-sand the joints and then reseal.
Should I just replace my pavers?
Usually not. If the pavers and the base under them are sound, they can be cleaned, re-sanded and sealed to bring them back, which costs far less than a new install. If you do replace them, plan to seal the new ones too.
What areas do you serve?
We work in Palm Beach County and Broward County, including Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Jupiter, Parkland, Weston, Coral Springs and Fort Lauderdale. Not sure if you are in range? Call us.
